Harvested trees had branches removed and were put on trucks to be taken to processing mills.

Trees from the harvest were processed into the following products: pallets, lumber, railroad ties, paper, wafer plywood and equine stall shavings.


Around structures, timber was harvested to improve fire safety.
Some areas away from regular camping and Scout use were clear cut of mature pine.
Fire was used after the harvest to manage harvest debris and prepare the harvested area for replanting of seedlings.
