Welcome to the Western Horizon District!
We are excited to be a part of this big Scouting family that ranges from Coppell, Grand Prairie, and Irving.
Western Horizon District serves youth in most of the communities of Coppell, Grand Prairie and Irving Texas. The district is composed of Cub Scout Packs for boys and girls in grades K-5, Scouts BSA Troops for boys & girls (segregated) ages 11 to 18, and Venturing Crews for boys and girls ages 14 to 21. We strongly stand behind Scouting because we have seen ourselves the invaluable and positive experiences that the Scouting program brings to the lives of young men and women.
We recognize that timely communications of Scouting related updates are very important to everybody -- whether you are a Scout, a registered leader (Scouter), or a parent/guardian. Therefore, we are using the Circle Ten website as the communications channel for the single “source of truth” for all district communications. You will find information regarding our district including: activities, camping opportunities, trainings, meeting schedules, etc.
Not only can we communicate with you, you can select the communications “channels” that are meaningful to you and configure it to notify you when updates happen. That way, you will have a custom “newsletter” that only contains the content you are interested in.
