It's never too early to spread a little holiday cheer!
We're excited to announce Scouting America's participation in the 10,000 for the Troops service project again this year, bringing a touch of home to military service members during the holiday season. Rather than waiting until November, we're encouraging Scouts, families, and volunteers to start creating holiday cards this summer.
Cub Scouts: August is your last opportunity to work toward the Summertime Fun Adventure while giving back to those who serve our country.
Scouts of All Ages: Whether you're in Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scouts, or Exploring, your cards can make a meaningful impact on someone serving far from home.
Adults Too: Parents, leaders, alumni, and supporters are invited to join in. This is a service project the entire Scouting family can participate in together.
SERVICE HOURS: Remember, a Scout provides service to others. Use this as an opportunity to participate in a service project toward rank advancements.
Use this as an opportunity for your den, patrol, crew, ship, unit, or family to and create heartfelt holiday messages. Every card helps remind our troops that they are remembered, appreciated, and supported by their communities back home.
Completed cards can now be turned in at either Circle Ten Council office (you don't have to wait until November).
Together, let's help deliver thousands of smiles and make this a holiday season to remember for those who serve. |
