Scouting America’s Circle Ten Council Welcomes Dr. Holly Hull Miori as Chief Development Officer

Experienced fundraising strategist joins council as it prepares for transformational growth and a $100 million capital and endowment campaign.

DALLAS, Texas — Circle Ten Council, Scouting America is pleased to announce the hiring of Holly Hull Miori, PhD, CFRE as its new Chief Development Officer, where she will lead the council’s philanthropic strategy during one of the most significant periods of growth in its history.

Miori joins Circle Ten Council as preparations begin for a comprehensive $100 million capital and endowment campaign designed to expand Scouting’s reach, strengthen camps and facilities, grow the council’s endowment, and ensure that future generations of young people have access to the life-changing experiences Scouting provides.

An accomplished fundraising executive, author, and nationally recognized researcher, Miori brings more than two decades of nonprofit leadership experience. Her work has focused on strategic philanthropy, donor engagement, and understanding how emerging generations approach charitable giving and volunteerism, which aligns closely with the council’s vision for the future.

“Holly’s experience comes at exactly the right time for Circle Ten Council,” said Dr. Scotty Landry, Scout Executive and CEO. “As we look toward the future, we’re building more than a fundraising campaign. We’re building a culture of philanthropy that will sustain Scouting for generations. Holly’s leadership, strategic vision, and understanding of today’s donors and volunteers will help us reach new audiences while strengthening relationships with the supporters who have carried this movement for more than a century.”

Miori said she is excited to join Circle Ten Council at such a pivotal moment.

“Circle Ten Council has an incredible legacy of preparing young people to become leaders of character, and the future is even more exciting,” said Miori. “The opportunity to help launch a transformational campaign while expanding engagement with the next generation of philanthropic leaders is incredibly meaningful. I look forward to building lasting relationships with donors, volunteers, and community partners who believe in investing in young people and ensuring Scouting remains strong for generations to come.”

As Chief Development Officer, Miori will oversee the council’s fundraising strategy, including annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, corporate and foundation partnerships, campaign planning, and donor stewardship as well as the marketing and communications team.

Her arrival supports Circle Ten Council’s long-term strategic vision to grow Scouting throughout North Texas and southern Oklahoma while strengthening the financial foundation necessary to serve more youth than ever before.
