C10 Full Circle - June 3, 2026: Summer Fun is Just Getting Started

June

Summer is an exciting time across Circle Ten Council. Scouts are exploring the outdoors, serving their communities, and preparing for an unforgettable summer.

Camp Safety Update: Prepared and Ready for Summer

At Circle Ten Council, the safety and well-being of every Scout, volunteer, and staff member remains our highest priority. We are pleased to share that both of our long-term summer camps, Camp Constantin and Trevor Rees-Jones Scout Camp, have officially been approved for licensure under the new State of Texas Senate Bill requirements.

Camp James Ray and Camp Wisdom do not require a state license under the new legislation and continues to operate within all applicable guidelines and standards.

In addition, comprehensive Emergency Action Plans are in place for each camp, ensuring that our teams are fully prepared to respond quickly and effectively in any situation.

For more than a century, Scouting has built its programs around preparedness, responsibility, and safety. “Be Prepared” is more than just a motto … it is the foundation of how we operate every day. From staff training and health protocols to emergency planning and camp operations, our commitment to creating a safe and positive experience for every Scout has never changed.

As families prepare for summer camp adventures, they can do so with confidence knowing that Circle Ten Council continues to meet and exceed safety standards while delivering the unforgettable outdoor experiences that help young people grow in character, confidence, and leadership.

We look forward to an incredible summer at camp.

Where Will Your Adventure Take You This Summer?

Summer is one of the most exciting times to be a Scout.

Across Circle Ten Council, Scouts and families are heading out on adventures of every kind including summer camp, high-adventure treks, fishing trips, hikes, service projects, campfires, waterfront activities, and countless opportunities to explore the outdoors and create lasting memories.

From Camp Constantin and Trevor Rees-Jones Scout Camp to Camp James Ray and unit outings across Texas, Oklahoma, and beyond, Scouts are discovering new skills, building confidence, and making friendships that will last a lifetime.

As your unit embarks on its summer adventures, we invite you to help tell the story of Scouting. Capture the moments that make Scouting special, such as a Cub Scout catching their first fish, a troop reaching the summit of a challenging hike, a Venturer trying something new, or Scouts gathered around a campfire sharing stories and laughter.

We'd love to feature your adventures throughout the summer. Send your favorite photos and stories to marketing@circletencouncil.org and help inspire other families to get outside and experience the adventure Scouting has to offer.

Scouting works. Scouting matters. And summer is where some of Scouting's greatest memories are made.

We can't wait to see where your adventure takes you.

If you have NOT completed the updated Safeguarding our Youth Training, your Scouting membership will expire at the end of this week!

If your membership expires, you will NOT be able to:

Attend summer camp
Participate in overnight activities
Serve as a registered leader at Scouting events
Access certain Scouting systems and registrations

In addition, once your membership expires, you will be required to complete:

A NEW adult application
A new criminal background check
Additional processing before your membership can be reinstated

Check your status in My.Scouting. We do not want you to arrive at camp or an activity and discover there is an issue with your registration status.

Please avoid interruptions to your summer plans by completing your Safeguarding Youth Training now. Log in to My.Scouting.org today and complete the training this week.

** The Refresher Course only counts for those who have previously taken the Safeguarding Youth Training. If your last training was still called Youth Protection Training, you MUST take the full 90 minute Safeguarding Youth course.

Membership doesn’t happen by accident. It happens on purpose.

As we look ahead to the next Scouting year, we’re introducing a more intentional, more unified approach to growing Scouting across Circle Ten Council. This is about more than just recruiting. It’s about building a sustainable program that reaches more families, strengthens our units, and ensures Scouting continues to thrive in every community we serve.

Get ready ...

Better communication. Stronger units. More adventures. That's where we're headed.

We know your inbox is busy, and we want to make sure the information you receive from Circle Ten Council is timely, relevant, and useful.

Over the next few months, you'll begin to notice some changes to our communication strategy. Rather than sending the same information to everyone, we'll be delivering content that is more tailored to your role and your family's Scouting journey.

Families will receive information about upcoming adventures and opportunities. Leaders will receive resources, tools, and important updates to help their units succeed. New families will receive guidance to help them get the most out of Scouting and discover all the opportunities available to them.

Our goal is simple: provide the right information, to the right people, at the right time.

We're excited about this next step in improving the Circle Ten experience and helping every Scout, parent, and volunteer get the most from Scouting.

Stay tuned—there's more to come!
