July

Summer is an exciting time across Circle Ten Council. Scouts are exploring the outdoors, serving their communities, and preparing for an unforgettable summer.

Leadership Luncheon Featuring Dr. Condoleezza Rice

Join Circle Ten Council for an inspiring afternoon with Dr. Condoleezza Rice—former U.S. Secretary of State, educator, author, and one of America's most respected leaders.

This special luncheon supports Scouting programs that help young people across our community build character, leadership, and confidence for life. Hear Dr. Rice share her unique perspective on leadership, service, and overcoming challenges while helping ensure more youth have access to the life-changing opportunities Scouting provides.

We invite our Scouting family to join us for what promises to be one of the year's most memorable events.

Special rate for Scouting families: Individual tickets are available for $250. For details, contact Karen.Thunert@scouting.org.

The Most Important Recruiting Tool You're Probably Not Using

For many families, the first interaction they have with your unit isn't at a meeting.

It's online.

When a parent searches for Scouting in their area, visits BeAScout, or follows a link from one of our recruitment campaigns, your BeAScout pin becomes your unit's digital storefront.

And just like a storefront, first impressions matter.

Service, Sacrifice, and the Next Generation of Leaders

As we celebrate our nation's independence, we're reminded that freedom has always depended on ordinary people willing to serve something greater than themselves.

At Scouting America, service isn't just a project ... it's a way of life. Every campout, community service project, flag ceremony, and act of kindness helps prepare young people to become leaders of character who are ready to make a difference.

Read our latest blog as we reflect on the connection between service, sacrifice, and the young leaders who will help shape our future.

Christmas in July: 10,000 for the Troops

It's never too early to spread a little holiday cheer!

We're excited to announce Scouting America's participation in the 10,000 for the Troops service project again this year, bringing a touch of home to military service members during the holiday season. Rather than waiting until November, we're encouraging Scouts, families, and volunteers to start creating holiday cards this summer.

Cub Scouts: This is a great opportunity to work toward the Summertime Fun Adventure while giving back to those who serve our country.

Scouts of All Ages: Whether you're in Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scouts, or Exploring, your cards can make a meaningful impact on someone serving far from home.

Adults Too: Parents, leaders, alumni, and supporters are invited to join in. This is a service project the entire Scouting family can participate in together.

Use this as an opportunity for your den, patrol, crew, ship, unit, or family to gather over the summer and create heartfelt holiday messages. Every card helps remind our troops that they are remembered, appreciated, and supported by their communities back home.

Completed cards can now be turned in at either Circle Ten Council office (you don't have to wait until November).

Together, let's help deliver thousands of smiles and make this a holiday season to remember for those who serve.
