Position-Specific (Role-Based) Training

Position-Specific (Role-Based) Training

So you have taken the required Youth Protection Training but training does not stop there!

All leaders are encouraged to take part in leader position-specific training before they meet with youth (or within 90 days) to prepare them for the opportunities and responsibilities relating to their leadership positions. This is also an opportunity for new leaders to get answers to questions they may have about their roles and about the BSA in general. Training is available for every position at the unit, district, and council levels. See below for a list of position-specific trainings available by program type.

Completion of Youth Protection Training and your Position-Specific Training is the measurement for being "trained" in the BSA, allowing you to wear the Trained patch for your current position.
