Joe Foss Institute

Bring “Living History” to your troop today!
Entertain and educate your Scouts with a Veteran volunteer speaker from the Joe Foss Institute (JFI). JFI, a non-profit organization, provides a trained Veteran speaker to present a free, interactive program, 30-50 minutes in length. In addition to personal experiences, our speakers cover educational materials on history, citizenship, government and public service. This fun and inspiring program has been presented to students of all ages nationwide and throughout various Scout Districts in Texas. Participating groups receive American flags and copies of the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.
JFI was founded in 2001 by WWII hero and American patriot Gen Joe Foss and his wife, Donna “didi” Foss.
Through JFI, your Scouts are taught to appreciate our country’s history and understand how our freedoms were earned, as well as their role and responsibility.
Please contact Ron Banks, JFI Regional Developer-Texas, 214-460-7173, rbanks@joefoss.com.
