BeAScout

Combining outdoor activities, sports, academics, and more in a fun and exciting program that helps families teach ideas such as honesty, good citizenship, and respect, Scouting not only provides a great experience for your child to grow up in, it provides leadership skills and values that will impact them for a lifetime.

Join Scouting sign up events will be held throughout the month of September. Join Scouting fliers will be distributed in schools before the scheduled sign up events. Interested youth and their parents are encouraged to attend a meeting at their neighborhood school.

Click on the school district below to find the meeting information. If you are not able to make that meeting, don’t worry. You can still get involved. We will work with you to find the appropriate group.

If you looking for further information about Scouting … watch our videos below. From highlights of our youth programs to testimonials from parents like you we can give you a sense of what Scouting in the Circle Ten Council is like.

For over 80 years, Cub Scouts have been having the time of their lives making new friends and learning new things in an environment designed to help them succeed. From building his own pinewood derby® car to learning how to roast the perfect marshmallow with his best friends at a family campout, your child will LOVE being a Cub Scout.

So if he's in the first through fifth grades, or 7 to 10 years old, then it's time for him to have some fun … with the Cub Scouts.

Boy Scouts prove themselves in an environment that challenges theircourage and tests their nerve. After they've been given the proper guidance from those with experience and know-how, they take their own lead, going places they've never gone, seeing things they've never seen, and diving into the rugged world of outdoor adventure, relying on teamwork and character to accomplish what everyone else thinks is impossible.

Sound fun? If you're a boy age 11, or at least 10 and have completed the fifth grade, or have earned the Cub Scout Arrow of Light Award, to 17 years old, the time for a real adventure is now.

Do you like to squeeze every last drop of adventure out of life? Enjoy exploring new and far-off places? How 'bout hanging out with your closest friends? Well then, you'll LOVE Venturing. From experiencing the thrill of zip lining and the accomplishment of rock climbing, to the heart-pounding charge of whitewater rafting, you'll have the time of your life with your best friends in Venturing.

If you're ready to travel to new places, meet new friends, and go on high-adventure excursions, then Venturing is the place for you. It's a coed program for teens and young adults ages 14–20 (or 13 and have completed the eighth grade) who are just like you.

Is Scouting for you?
