Administrative Assistant Position

Seeking an energetic and self-motivated individual to serve as an Administrative Assistant. This position is responsible for assistance to the Support Services Team. The team consists of 6 staff members: Director of Support Services, Camping Director, Program Directors, IT Director, and Operations Director.

The starting salary for an Administrative Assistant is $30,000. Annual salary adjustments are based on an individual's contributions and overall performance.

The Administrative Assistant selected will:

  • Update and maintain training records for the council
  • Maintain council website pages for the Support Services Team
  • Post payments, camperships, and scholarships into the event reservation system
  • Assist/support with setting up events in the event reservation system
  • Provide quality customer service to both internal employees and external volunteers via phone calls, emails, and face-to-face interactions in a professional and timely fashion
  • Track and maintain district/council event attendance to prepare the National Camping Reports
  • Supply administrative support for promotional mailings, prepare packets for events, process incoming mail, and assist with answering switchboard calls
  • Prepare training awards
  • All other tasks assigned by supervisor

Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to learn event management system and internal data registry system
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent people skills, enthusiastic, punctual, responsible, and creative
  • Self-motivated individual with solid time management skills and strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
